Raimi built the Deadite army the old-fashioned way, stop-motion, puppets and stuntmen on stilts, all a tip of the hat to Ray Harryhausen's skeleton fight in Jason and the Argonauts. Trick or Treat Studios have pulled one of those foot soldiers straight off the castle wall. Full over-the-head latex mask, horned helmet, rune band, spike, and a grin that suggests 700 years underground did nothing for its dental plan.
