"Before the jet turbine, there was a bat on the bonnet."
Batman spent his early outings in a plain red sedan, which is not much of a look for a man dressed as a bat. Batman #5 in 1941 sorted that out. The bat head bonnet ornament, the red trim, the scalloped tail fin standing up at the back like a shark that made bad choices. Eaglemoss cast the whole thing in 1:43 die-cast on a numbered display base, so you get the Golden Age shape without paying Golden Age comic prices.
