"The 1970s called. They brought the car."
In 1970 Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams dragged Batman out of the campy TV era and back into the shadows, starting with Detective Comics #395. The cars got meaner too. Corgi's set pairs the sleek 1970s Batmobile with the blunt-nosed 1980s version, both die-cast at 1:43 with doors that actually open. Three spun-cast metal Batman and Robin miniatures ride along, and the whole lot sits in a velvet-lined hinged box under a bronze foil sleeve. Limited to 5,000 sets. This one is number 3468.
