"I'm your biggest fan."
Kevin Conroy walked into his 1992 audition and did something nobody had tried before: two separate voices, one for Bruce Wayne and one for Batman. Batman: The Animated Series launched that autumn, and Cheetah Marketing, a UK peripherals firm, cashed in by turning the Dark Knight into a games controller. The whole 6 inch figure is the joystick handle. Grab him by the torso, waggle, and the two yellow fire buttons sit on the skyline base with the cable running out to your Mega Drive. Batman, reduced to a peripheral.
