Before a single line of dialogue, Day of the Dead hits you with this: a jawless, white-haired ghoul lunging out of a wall in Sarah's nightmare. Fans nicknamed him Dr Tongue, and he's the first zombie the film shows you. On set he wasn't an actor at all but a hand-operated puppet worked by a small crew, which is why that tongue moves the way it does. Trick or Treat's 5-inch version keeps the lolling-tongue action, and comes with a pet alligator and a miniature newspaper prop.
