Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster sold Superman outright for 130 dollars in 1938, split between the two of them. Every film, every lunchbox and every statue since came out of that cheque. Goutaro Takeuchi's ARTFX+ version is the New 52 redesign, Jim Lee's armoured blue suit with the high collar and no red trunks, finished in a metallic paint that catches light from across the room. Fists clenched, jaw set, planted on the Justice League base.
