"Seven dwarfs, one permanent scowl."
Hollywood called it Disney's Folly the whole way through production. Nobody, the thinking went, would sit still for a feature length cartoon. 1937 settled that argument. Lenox picked the crankiest of the seven for this 2004 Treasures piece: Grumpy squinting at a gem, wearing the face he holds for most of the film. The lid lifts off, a gold charm sits inside, and the whole thing is ivory china painted by hand with 24K gold trim. A moody little box for small valuables.
