"The moustache was non-negotiable."
Recondo turned up in 1984 with a bush hat, a machete and the finest moustache on the roster, and every version since has been designed around not touching it. Tiger Force puts him in dark green with gold striping down the legs, which for a jungle specialist is closer to sensible than anything else in the sub-line managed. Bush hat, pistol, machete, carbine and a backpack with a bedroll. He looks like a man who has chosen to sleep outdoors for forty years.
