Carpenter wanted Halloween to run as an anthology, a different story every year, so the third film has no Michael Myers in it whatsoever. Audiences in 1982 took this very badly. Time has been kinder. The Silver Shamrock jingle is set to the tune of London Bridge Is Falling Down, which is exactly why it will not leave your head. Three 1/6 scale trick or treaters here in Witch, Skeleton and Pumpkin masks, with melting heads for the bit everyone remembers.
