Mar-Vell's son was created from his late father's preserved cells, then rapidly aged and handed a head full of fake memories. Family life in the Marvel cosmos. He first turned up as Legacy in Silver Surfer Annual #6 in 1993, before Peter David's Captain Marvel run bonded him to Rick Jones through the Nega-Bands and let his cosmic awareness drive him slightly round the bend. This one landed alongside the 2019 Captain Marvel film, in black and green with a gold blaster. Dad would be proud. Probably.
