Every kid who owned the 1984 Spikor learned the same lesson, those spikes were hard plastic and they hurt. The trident arm shot out at the push of a lever, which was the entire selling point and worth every penny. Mattel's Masterverse version keeps the purple and blue, the spiked head and the trident arm, only now with joints that actually move. Skeletor's least huggable henchman, and that is a competitive field.
