"The doll was never the problem."
The doll gets the posters, but Malthus is the one actually doing the haunting. He is the horned demon working Annabelle like a hand puppet, hunting for a human soul to move into. Gary Dauberman made his directing debut on Annabelle Comes Home in 2019 after writing the rest of them, and he finally let the thing out of the shadows. NECA's Ultimate release gives you three heads for his moods, swappable hands and alternate lower legs. Goat horns as standard.
