"Roger, roger."
Hasbro sent these into shops on 3 May 1999, sixteen days before anyone had actually seen The Phantom Menace. Queues at midnight for toys from a film nobody could describe yet. Wild. Three droid starfighters in the set, laser missiles that fire and wing droids that eject exactly the way they get shredded over Naboo. Battle droids on wings, doing what battle droids do best: exploding in formation. Still sealed, which for a 1999 Episode 1 set is saying something.
