Edwin Neal has said filming this was worse than his time in the army, which is quite the review for a horror film. The Texas summer of 1973 was punishing, the cast wore the same clothes for weeks, and the smell on set eventually counted as its own crew member. Trick or Treat Studios' five-inch Hitchhiker has a twisting waist so he can take a swipe at whatever is standing next to him on the shelf. Sealed. Keep him away from the van.
