"Hey hey! It's your old pal Krusty!"
Matt Groening's original plan was for Krusty to be Homer in disguise, which is why Bart worships a clown and ignores his own father. Dan Castellaneta voices both, so the joke almost wrote itself. It got dropped, and Krusty stayed a chain-smoking sell-out who would put his face on anything. Which makes a gold Burger King statue of him the most on-brand object in the entire set. Number 10 of 15. Press the pedestal and he greets you himself.
