Derek Meddings designed Thunderbird 2's fat green frame, then went on to blow things up for James Bond and collect an Academy Award for Superman. Not bad for a man who built model aeroplanes for a puppet show. This is the small Carlton one from 1999, 10cm nose to tail and moulded in a single solid piece. No drop pod, no telescopic legs, just tiny wheels underneath so it can trundle across a desk.
