ThunderCats came from Rankin and Bass, the same outfit behind the stop-motion Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer specials, which explains nothing and delights everyone. Mumm-Ra is their finest hour, a shrivelled mummy who turns into a bodybuilder every time somebody says the magic words. Super7's Ultimates version runs LED eyes off a battery and arrives with the glow-in-the-dark Sword of Plun-Darr, the Golden Sphere of Seti, the Chain of Loyalty and a soft goods cape you can actually pose.
