Bumblebee was a Volkswagen Beetle for twenty-odd years until Michael Bay swapped him for a Camaro in 2007, reportedly to stop the Autobot scout looking like Herbie. Studio Series 01 is where the whole line kicked off, and Hasbro handed the number one slot to the yellow one. Twenty-two steps take him from robot to Chevrolet Camaro and back again. Loose, played with, and still the mate who does all his talking through the radio.
