He is never once called Slimer in the 1984 film. The green blob goes unnamed on screen and only picks up the official name when The Real Ghostbusters cartoon turns up a couple of years later. This vinyl mask captures the gluttonous grin and the bulging eyes, modelled by Alexander Ray. Onionhead, the spud, whatever you call him, he is the ghost everyone remembers first. Hang it up or wear it out. Either way the diet is clearly going well.
