The tape Marty blasts into his dad's ears is labelled "Edward Van Halen", and Eddie later owned up that the guitar on it was his. This is the 1955 bedroom raid in full: yellow radiation suit, removable hood with visor, the hair dryer and the Walkman with headphones. Swap in the bare head once George is convinced. Threatening someone with Star Wars and Star Trek in 1955, years before either existed, takes real commitment. George bought every word.
