"I will overcome great fear."

Simon Baz, the Green Lantern who carried a pistol because he didn't fully trust the ring yet. Robert Lynders captured the New 52 design well here — the full-face mask, the green Arabic tattoo on the forearm reading "courage," the construct-free suit that makes him look more street-level than cosmic. Hal Jordan's malfunctioning ring chose well. First appearance was Green Lantern #0 and he made an impression immediately.
