Christopher Lee was offered Sam Loomis and turned it down. He later told John Carpenter it was the biggest mistake of his career, which is quite the admission from a man with 200-odd films behind him. Donald Pleasence took the job instead and spent the whole night shouting sense at people who would not listen. Trick or Treat Studios have him in 1/6 scale, tailored coat and all, poseable enough to stand him mid-warning on the shelf while nobody in Haddonfield pays attention.
