The blade Michael carries is a Lamson kitchen knife, made by an American cutlery firm that has been going since 1837, so the most famous weapon in horror is an entirely ordinary bit of kitchen kit. This is the foam version, polyurethane with a stainless steel finish and a wood-look hilt, so it photographs like metal and weighs almost nothing. Fine for costumes, conventions and photo shoots. Seventeen and a half inches of harmless menace.
