"The face that started out as Captain Kirk."
The 1978 mask began life as a shop-bought William Shatner Captain Kirk mask. The crew widened the eye holes, teased out the hair and sprayed the whole thing white, and horror got its most famous face for under two dollars. Trick or Treat Studios have gone the other way entirely, working from screen stills with Justin Mabry on design duty to land the bannister-scene look. Full head latex, and the blank stare does all the work.
