"Keldor gets the sword instead."
Tim Seeley's DC run had a horrible idea and ran with it: an evil He-Man tearing through every Eternia in the multiverse, and the only man left who can stop him is Keldor, the fella who usually ends up as Skeletor. So Keldor takes the Power of Grayskull himself and becomes He-Skeletor. This is the first time the character has been made as a figure, blue and purple on a retro card with power sword, axe and shield, and the mini comic covers how he got there. Hero at last, still looks like trouble.
