"Made because a little boy asked for him."
Yla Eason started Olmec Toys in 1985 after her three year old son told her he could not be He-Man because he was Black. So she made Sun-Man and sold him herself, out of her own company, for years. Nearly forty years later Mattel brought him into the official line with Eason on board, which is a better ending than most toy stories get. Origins gives him the retro build, the sun-god deco and the twist-into-battle waist.
