"Free with Wonder Bread. Except he never was."
Collectors spent decades certain the black-harnessed He-Man came free with a loaf of Wonder Bread. He didn't. Mattel's own paperwork shows a 1983 buy-three-get-one-free mail-away, and the bread promotion was a separate thing entirely, for trading cards. The nickname stuck so hard that Mattel gave in and made it canon, naming him Wun-Dar. This Origins version finally arms the old mystery figure properly: black chest armour, sword, axe, blaster and a 10-page mini comic, longer than the usual Origins ones. Still sealed in the brown Mattel Creations shipper.
