Richard Dreyfuss played Hooper as the only person on Amity Island with any sense, the rich-kid oceanographer who knows exactly what is out there. The mechanical shark, nicknamed Bruce after Spielberg's lawyer, broke down so often that Spielberg ended up hiding it for most of the runtime and accidentally made the film scarier. This 50th anniversary Hooper brings four heads, alternate arms for the jacket or the sweater, and a pile of shark-hunting gear.
