Universal shot the Bal Masqué sequence in an early two-strip process back in 1925, which means the Red Death was one of the first horror villains audiences ever saw in colour. NECA have gone after that exact moment. Lon Chaney's Erik in the wide-brimmed hat and the skull mask, cloak in soft fabric so it actually hangs, skull staff in hand. Swap the heads and hands and they work across NECA's other Phantom figures too. One hundred years on and he still crashes the party.
