"What does God need with a starship?"
Star Trek V is the one William Shatner directed, and his original ending had Kirk fighting rock monsters at the centre of the galaxy until the effects budget said absolutely not. Ertl put out this die-cast Bird of Prey the same year, 1989, in green camouflage with moulded hull detail and a black plastic cradle to sit it on. The card back carries a cut-out collector card with the ship's specs. Sealed since 1989, and the card has aged better than the film's reviews.
