Carrie Fisher was nineteen, told to drop weight, and stuck in a white gown with no underwear because George reckoned there is none in space. The hair buns were his nod to early twentieth-century Mexican revolutionaries. This is the figure that opened the whole 40th anniversary line, Leia in her Tantive IV gown with her blaster, on a retro 1977-style Kenner card. The senator who out-snarked Vader before lunch.
