Werner Herzog played the Client, the Imperial paying these lads' wages. When the crew floated swapping the Grogu puppet for CGI, Herzog called them cowards, and the puppet stayed. These are his troopers, Empire leftovers in filthy scuffed armour taking gangster money because there is no Empire left to pay them. Hasbro has painted every bit of that grime onto the armour, blaster included. The white used to mean something.
