The Snowtroopers were the tip of the spear during Vader's ground assault on Echo Base - cold-weather specialists in insulated armour who turned Hoth into a massacre in Irvin Kershner's The Empire Strikes Back. Released by Kenner in 1980, the Snowtrooper remains one of the most distinctive Imperial designs in the entire vintage line.
