Wes Craven built Freddy out of a run of newspaper stories about young Hmong refugees who died in their sleep after telling their families about nightmares they were terrified of going back into. That is where the whole franchise comes from, which is a lot heavier than the one-liners suggest. This deluxe set gives you the overhead latex mask worked up from Robert Englund's 1984 makeup, plus a replica fedora, because the hat is half the silhouette.
