The family name changed to Hewitt for 2003, and Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes kicked off a decade of glossy, grimy horror remakes with it. Jessica Biel does the running, R. Lee Ermey barks as a fake sheriff, and the whole thing was shot in Texas heat that looks entirely real on screen. Trick or Treat Studios' 1:6 Leatherface stands 33cm in custom fabric clothing, poseable, with three hands, a sledgehammer and a detailed chainsaw. Mind the fingers.
