"I am fully functional."
His card lists his nickname as Pinocchio, which Riker pinned on him in Encounter at Farpoint and which Data then spent seven seasons trying to live up to. Brent Spiner's android comes in the early gold-shouldered uniform with a Type II phaser, tricorder, and the diagnostic unit for when the positronic net plays up. The access panels on his back and arm actually open. Still trying to be human, still stuck on a card.
